New for 2026, the SOF Week Outpost at Peter O. Knight Airport, presented by Northrop Grumman, gives attendees a rare opportunity to see cutting-edge capabilities in action.

Located just minutes from the main convention campus, The Outpost expands SOF Week beyond the exhibit hall and into an operational environment where aviation platforms, autonomous systems, and emerging technologies can be demonstrated at scale.

Throughout the week, attendees can experience:

Live aerial operations showcasing advanced air capabilities
Ground-based demonstrations highlighting next-generation systems
Aircraft displays and aviation technology up close
Operational scenarios demonstrating real-world applications
Direct interaction with the innovators developing these capabilities

Whether you’re interested in unmanned systems, tactical communications, AI-enabled operations, or multi-domain technologies, The Outpost provides a unique setting to see how emerging capabilities translate into mission-ready solutions.

Live aerial demonstrations will take place throughout the week in scheduled blocks, featuring coordinated operations that highlight how modern technologies are used in real operational environments.
Demonstrations may include capabilities such as:

Advanced sUAS and ISR platforms
Electronic warfare and counter-UAS systems
Next-generation tactical communications
AI/ML-enabled operational tools
Adaptive and multi-layered defense technologies

These demonstrations allow attendees to observe technologies performing in conditions that more closely resemble real-world operational scenarios.

Outdoor Static Displays

In addition to live demonstrations, attendees can explore outdoor static displays featuring aircraft, systems, and equipment from across the special operations ecosystem.

This area provides a chance to:

Examine platforms and systems up close
Speak directly with engineers and operators
Learn how new technologies integrate into operational missions

Static displays will be open during scheduled exhibition hours throughout SOF Week.

Special Air Warfare Zone

Adjacent to the demonstration areas, the Special Air Warfare Zone will feature an indoor, air-conditioned environment showcasing aviation and air-domain technologies.

Positioned next to the live demonstration areas, the zone provides attendees with a deeper look at the technologies supporting modern special operations missions..

Plan Your Visit

The Outpost is designed as a complementary experience to the SOF Week convention campus, allowing attendees to see advanced technologies both on the show floor and in action.

Transportation details, demonstration schedules, and access information will be available in the SOF Week agenda and mobile app.
Attendees are encouraged to plan time in their schedule to visit The Outpost and experience one of the most dynamic elements of SOF Week 2026. Remember, your SOF Week badge is required!

SHUTTLE SCHEDULE:

Tuesday, May 19 – 0745 – 1700

Wednesday, May 20 – 0745 – 1700

Thursday, May 21 – 0745 – 1600

*Only Exhibitors are able to use the shuttle from 0745 – 0845

Shuttles will run approximately every 20 minutes.

WATER TAXI SCHEDULE:

This route will service attendees getting to the SOF Week Outpost via water taxi:

Tuesday, May 19 – 0925 – 1630

Wednesday, May 20 – 0925 – 1630

Thursday, May 21 – 0925 – 1630

Water Taxi to run approximately every 20 minutes.

Event Extras

The Outpost Beer Garden is open as a dedicated area to grab a meal, have a drink, and catch up with colleagues away from the main floor. It’s designed as a comfortable spot to sit down and handle business or just take a break.

We’re also hosting Rally Point Live, featuring a performance by singer Hunter Dawson. It’s a good chance to grab a seat and hear some live music while you’re at The Outpost. Stop by to eat, drink, and reconnect with others across the SOF community.
