The Outpost at Peter O. Knight Airport
Following the success of its inaugural year in 2026, the SOF Week Outpost at Peter O. Knight Airport returns in 2027 as an expanded, all-domain centerpoint for autonomous systems and full-scale capabilities across land, air, and sea. Based on direct response to industry feedback and with strong support from USSOCOM senior leadership we are making the Outpost bigger and better.
NEW FOR 2027: The Outpost will feature the All Domain Autonomous Systems Zone (ADASZ), providing a purpose-built environment to showcase and demonstrate integrated SOF capabilities at scale, including:
- Maritime
- Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs)
- Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
- Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS)
- Unnamed Surface Vessels (USV)
- Loitering Munitions
- Sensors/Payloads
- Software/Robotics
- Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML)
The airport environment provides an opportunity to showcase capabilities that align with the Special Air Warfare and the All Domain Autonomous Systems at full-scale demonstrations, static displays and exhibits.

OUTPOST EXHIBIT HOURS
The exhibit hours at the Outpost have been adjusted to maximize attendance and create dedicated opportunities for attendees to experience this operational extension at SOF Week 2027.
Monday will be an exclusive Outpost experience, with the Outpost serving as the only exhibit destination open that day. With all other exhibit locations closed, attendees can dedicate their time to exploring the Outpost’s full-scale capabilities, live demonstrations, static displays, and expanded all-domain environment.
The Outpost will continue into Tuesday, culminating in a dedicated reception that brings the SOF Week community together at Peter O. Knight Airport.

ALL DOMAIN AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS ZONE
NEW FOR 2027: We are calling on industry to bring their most advanced systems to Tampa, with a specific focus on:
- Indoor air-conditioned exhibit space adjacent to demo operations and static displays
- Multi-Domain Autonomy & AI: AI/ML-enhanced mission software, advanced ISR, target recognition, and collaborative autonomy enabling teams of heterogeneous uncrewed systems.
- Tactical Overmatch & Mass Effects: Attributable, swarming autonomous systems designed for distributed operations.
- Resiliency in Contested Environments: Edge autonomy, human-machine teaming interfaces, and next-generation tactical communications with resilient PNT.
- Cross-Domain Platforms: Advanced unmanned systems (UAS, USV, and ground robotics).
- Layered Defense & Electronic Warfare: Multi-layered defense systems, counter-autonomous systems (C-UAS), and EW solutions for drone disruption against adversarial threats.
SPECIAL AIR WARFARE ZONE
- Indoor air-conditioned exhibit space adjacent to demo operations and static displays
- Approved capabilities to be showcased include aviation, ISR, EW, comms & multi-domain systems
- This zone includes any organization with Special Operations-peculiar Fixed Wing or Rotary Wing capabilities or enabling technologies, including mission equipment and training systems.
No other defense event offers this environment — this is first-of-its-kind access for Special Operations air capability providers.

- 30,000 square foot air conditioned tent with flooring

What is included with Outdoor Static Display Exhibit Space?
- Static display space is sold as raw space.
- Exhibitors receive 2 Full-Conference Exhibitor badges per 10-ft x 10-ft exhibit space reserved.
